The LSU Football program is off to an active start with the transfer portal opening on Monday running until December 28th. Brian Kelly declared that the Tigers will be aggresive in the transfer portal this offseason likely bringing in the biggest class they have to date.

One of the positions LSU will need to make a priority is edge rusher as LSU will lose Bradyn Swinson and Sai'Vion Jones as they're out of eligibility while potential replacement Da'Shawn Womack entered the transfer portal.

On Sunday Night, Nebraska transfer Edge Rusher Jimari Butler named LSU one of his three finalists. The Tigers are once again making waves with a transfer edge rusher as Edge Rushers Coach Kevin Peoples has extended an offer to Kent State Transfer Kameron Olds.

Kameron Olds spent his first two seasons with the Buffalo Bulls where he recorded just nine tackles in two years. This season Olds exploded at Kent State, recording 42 tackles, 6 sacks, a pass deflection, and an interception. Olds didn't record a sack against Tennessee or Penn State but, he had impressive reps recording 7 tackles and an interception in the two games against the Playoff teams.

While a transfer from Kent State may not be the massive move LSU Football fans are rooting for, there is plenty to be optimistic about when it comes to potentially adding Olds. Kevin Peoples has quickly cemented himself as one of if not the best at developing edge rushers which he showed this season as LSU's edges took a massive jump.

The players that have already totaled massive sack totals likely won't hit the transfer portal as those types of players are hard to come by. What jumps off the tape with Olds is his play recognition which is tough to teach so if Peoples can help further develop his pass rush moves this could be a slam dunk for LSU.
