The 2025 NFL Draft is just weeks away as prospects will start to hear their names called on Thursday, April 24th. It'll be another busy draft week for the LSU Football program as the Tigers are projected to have eight players that are definitely drafted while a few more could easily sneak their way into the back end of the draft. The biggest storyline of LSU's NFL Draft prospects is Will Campbell who could be the first tackle in LSU history to be taken in the first round.
As the NFL Draft approaches, here is where we see LSU's NFL Draft entries landing through all seven rounds.
4th Overall - Will Campbell - New England Patriots
After Drake Maye showed the promise of being a franchise quarterback in his rookie season, it will be all about protecting him for the New England Patriots as Drake Maye dealt with injuries behind a poor offensive line. If Abdul Carter and Travis Hunter are off of the board like many expect, the New England Patriots could pivot to Will Campbell landing a franchise left tackle to protect Drake Maye's blindside.
55th Overall - Mason Taylor - Los Angeles Chargers
After stripping the roster of its talent at wide receiver, the Los Angeles Chargers started to build back the arsenal last season. The Chargers need to address the tight end position giving Justin Herbert a safety blanket and Mason Taylor makes a ton of sense for what the team is looking to do. Taylor will be able to help the offensive line in the rushing attack while his ability to make plays at the tight end position will only help Justin Herbert.
63rd Overall - Bradyn Swinson - Kansas City Chiefs
As the Kansas City Chiefs look to juggle the salary cap, the team is constantly looking for young plug and play defensive linemen on rookie deals rather than veterans on massive deals. Bradyn Swinson could in and be the productive young edge rusher the team has been searching for. Swinson is a solid run defender but, his pass rush ability is what will make him a second round pick as he has all the tools and a developed set of moves to make an instant impact.
65th Overall - Emery Jones - New York Giants
The New York Giants are always looking to solve their offensive line issues but, have never been able to figure it out. As Evan Neal appears to be trending toward a role at guard, the Giants need to secure a long term right tackle which can be Emery Jones. Jones will have the chance to ease his way into the NFL behind veteran Jermaine Eluemunor who's in the final year of his two year deal before potentially becoming a starter the following season.
86th Overall - Zy Alexander - Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers roster still has a ton of retooling to be done in the NFL Draft and the cornerback position is one that needs a ton of attention. The Chargers could pursue Zy Alexander who can come in right away and give the team a cornerback who can step in right away but, he'll also get better over time. Alexander has the build of an NFL cornerback and with time as he refines his technique he can be a high caliber cornerback for the Chargers.
110th Overall - Sai'Vion Jones - Baltimore Ravens
Every offseason, the Baltimore Ravens are reloading the defensive line with situational pass rushers. Sai'Vion Jones had an impressive Senior Bowl and landing in Baltimore will only be a positive for his career. Jones is a solid run defender which will earn him playing time and if he can start to win more as a pass rusher, he'll be a solid three down defensive lineman.
147th Overall - Garrett Dellinger - San Francisco 49ers
This offseason, the 49ers interior offensive line took a massive hit as guard Aaron Banks left in free agency. As the 49ers continue to piece the roster together looking for impact players on rookie deals, Garrett Dellinger makes sense for the 49ers. The team won't need Dellinger to start right away and can give him time to develop into a starter as some of the teams massive extensions won't allow them to pay a guard a massive salary.
165th Overall - Miles Frazier - Philadelphia Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles are better than everyone else at building through the trenches in the NFL Draft. Howie Roseman constantly takes players with positional versatility which makes Miles Frazier an ideal selection for the team. Miles Frazier can continue to develop with the Eagles behind their starting offensive line with the chance to step in at tackle or guard if a player gets injured while he can also develop into the right tackle in waiting behind Lane Johnson.
234th Overall - Kyren Lacy - Seattle Seahawks
The biggest determining factor in Kyren Lacy's draft stock is whether or not his legal situation is resolved by the NFL Draft as teams will likely have Lacy off of their big board. Without the legal issues looming, Kyren Lacy can hear his name called as early as Day Two of the NFL Draft but, if they still remain a question his best chance as being drafted is late day 3. The Seahawks are a team that could take a chance on Kyren Lacy after tearing apart their Wide Receiver room this offseason.
