Nearly one year ago, Dakorien Moore shocked everyone when he committed to LSU over the in-state Texas Longhorns. Moore stayed a part of the LSU recruiting class until the middle of May when he re-opened his recruitment. Then Moore moved his commitment date up to July 4th out of nowhere with all of the experts expecting he'd sign with Texas.

A year after shocking everyone, LSU has done it again as Moore has re-committed to the LSU Football team.

Moore is a consensus five-star recruit, rated by On3 as the Nation's third overall ranked recruit and the top wide receiver in this class. The commitment is LSU's second commitment of the day alongside Texas Native Zion Williams as the defensive tackle committed early in the day.

Moore rejoins fellow five stars Bryce Underwood and Harlem Berry while LSU now holds commitments from the top-ranked quarterback, running back, wide receiver, and interior offensive lineman according to On3. Moore mentioned in his commitment livestream that he grew up a massive fan of Odell Beckham Jr and always dreamed of playing for LSU.

After Moore de-committed it looked clear that Moore was heading to Texas however, Brian Kelly and his staff did everything to get back into the race. LSU showed Moore how much he mattered hosting only Moore and his family on the second weekend of official visits pouring all their effort into landing the five-star.

This recruiting race is far from over as Oregon and Texas will continue to push for Moore but, for now LSU has the Nation's top receiver back on board.

A few more commitments to watch in the coming weeks

Friday July 5th, will see top-100 edge rusher Damien Shanklin and four-star defensive tackle Brandon Brown announce their commitments both players that LSU is the seeming leader for. July 13th will see in-state defensive back Jhase Thomas announce his commitment while four days later, Five-Star recruit DJ Pickett will announce his with LSU being a heavy player. These next two weeks will be massive in determining how high LSU's recruiting class finishes this cycle.
