If this team was pushing for a trip to the College Football Playoff and ready to battle for a National Championship run, perhaps no one would really care about this. However, the season hasn't gone according to plan for Brian Kelly and countless LSU football fans are calling for him to get fired.

While he'll likely be back in 2026, it turns out people are going to start having to pay more to see LSU in action next fall. Wait, what? In some disappointing news, it was revealed on Friday that the LSU Board of Supervisors has approved a vote to increase ticket prices for next season, with parking prices going up too. Come on:

LSU football ticket prices are going up again in disappointing news
According to WRBZ-2 in Baton Rouge, the price increase for tickets will range between $25 to $125. On top of that, the ABC affiliate has also reported that LSU is expecting a boost of around $5 million in revenue between the ticket prices going up and the same for parking.
Yes, those funds will help the university and the athletic department, but rising costs across the board for college fans is something that people have been quick to voice their displeasure about. The average fan is getting priced out from attending games, which should never be the case.
Selling out the stadium has never been a problem, as the LSU fanbase is among the most passionate across the country. However, with prices going up recently as well, people have got to be sick and tired of yet another spike in things arriving.
Unfortunately, this is the new world we live in when it comes to college athletics. If anything, though, this should put extra pressure on Kelly and Co. to get things fixed and perform each Saturday. LSU is coming off a rough loss to Vanderbilt and Diego Pavia and another difficult contest will be on the way against Texas A&M.
With a win, it will make some of us forget about prices going up soon. With yet another loss, though, it could force some people to second-guess their decisions to watch this team live in action at Tiger Stadium in the future. Let's hope the latter doesn't prove to be the case.
