Saturday was another ugly game day for Brian Kelly and LSU. The Tigers played strong football in the 1st half, taking an 18-14 lead into the break. But a completely different team was on the field in the 2nd half. LSU was thoroughly out-played and out-coached in the final 30 minutes, which led to a lopsided 49-25 loss to No. 3 Texas A&M.

Kelly was already in hot water with Tiger fans after suffering losses to both Ole Miss and Vanderbilt in recent weeks. The temperature continues to rise after Kelly's latest embarrassment to Mike Elko and Texas A&M. For a team that entered the 2025 season with hopes of competing for a national title, things are quickly falling off the rails. In addition to frustration among the fan base, former players are turning on Kelly.

Former LSU player Breiden Fehoko is done with Brian Kelly

Former LSU Tiger Breiden Fehoko posted on X (formerly Twitter) to express his extreme displeasure with the job Kelly has done at LSU. Fehoko didn't play under Kelly at LSU, but it's clear that the 2019 National Champion is done with Kelly in Baton Rouge.

Fehoko's words ring true among the Tiger faithful. "Pathetic" is not a word LSU fans should use to describe a home game at night against a ranked team. But the reality is that Brian Kelly is now just 5-11 against ranked teams at LSU, and now owns a 19-10 record in SEC play. Kelly's Tigers have yet to make the College Football Playoff, and have appeared in the SEC title game just once. Neither of those are going to happen this season, and LSU is in danger of seeing the season really get off the tracks over the next few weeks.

Fehoko raises the point that even if the Tigers move on from Kelly, he still walks away with over $50 million in buyout money. That just adds to the frustration among the fan base.

Fehoko played at LSU from 2017-19 after transferring in from Texas Tech. A 6'2", 291-pound defensive lineman, Fehoko was a part of LSU's historic 2019 team that won the National Championship. Fehoko ended his LSU career with 33 tackles, 9.0 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks over 23 games and 12 starts.
