The LSU Tigers are rounding into shape on the transfer portal trail as LSU has already landed a commitment while also getting a ton of top targets on campus for recruiting visits. The Tigers have been focuses on filling the needs and the latest news is a further example of their approach.

LSU will get Virginia Tech cornerback Mansoor Delane on campus for a visit on Sunday which is his first of three visits. After visiting LSU, Delane will also visit Alabama and Oregon which makes this a tough recruitment. Oregon will get whoever they want as we've seen in traditional recruiting while we haven't' seen Kalen DeBoer using the Transfer Portal much at Alabama yet.

The name will sound familiar to LSU fans who are dialed in on recruiting as LSU heavily pushed for Mansoor's brother Faheem Delane who ended up signing with Ohio State. This fact makes it notable that Delane won't visit Ohio State or hasn't set one up yet.

This season, Delane recorded 54 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, 7 pass deflections, and 4 interceptions. On his resume, Delane has a Freshman All-American nod and All ACC honors as he's put together three impressive seasons.

It'll be interesting to see how LSU treats the cornerback position in the transfer portal this offseason. LSU is already favored to land Florida Cornerback Ja'Keem Jackson who Corey Raymond brought to Florida when he was the cornerbacks coach there. LSU will return starting cornerback Ashton Stamps and DJ Pickett is talented enough to start as a true freshman.

Most of the players considering transferring to LSU or any school are looking for the chance to start right away especially a player like Delane with one year of eligibility remaining. We'll have to see if LSU is able to close out Jackson but, having too many players for too few spots is a great problem to have.
