The fourth-ranked LSU Tigers are set for a huge road game at No. 13 Ole Miss on Saturday night. It's the first SEC road game for LSU this season, and oddsmakers are expecting a closely-contested game. The Tiger offense was able to get back on track against FCS Southeastern Louisiana in Week 4, and hopefully some of the kinks from LSU's slow offensive start have been ironed out.
The offense is set to get a big boost with the return of a key playmaker against the Rebels. On Monday, Brian Kelly gave an injury update on one of LSU's top pass-catchers, and the news has Tiger fans smiling.
Trey'Dez Green injury update heading into the Ole Miss game
Star tight end Trey'Dez Green went down with an MCL sprain against Louisiana Tech in Week 2. He held a status of questionable leading into the SEC opener against Florida, with Brian Kelly even saying he would be a game-time decision. Green ultimately didn't play against Florida or Southeastern Louisiana, but he is on track to play against Ole Miss.

Green was one of the heroes in LSU's Week 1 win over Clemson, as he hauled in the eventual game-winning touchdown from Garrett Nussmeier in the fourth quarter. He didn't record a catch against Louisiana Tech before going down with an injury in the second quarter. After not playing in the last two games, his return to the field will be a welcome sight for Tiger fans.
Green's massive 6-foot-7 frame and elite athleticism makes for a great red zone target for Garrett Nussmeier. Fellow TE Bauer Sharp stepped up in Green's absence, hauling in eight catches for 144 yards and a touchdown against Florida and Southeastern Louisiana over the last two weeks. The LSU offense will need to be on its game against the Rebels, as Lane Kiffin's squad is averaging over 44 points per game so far this season. Getting Green back certainly helps.
