It was certainly a rough week for the LSU Football Program on the recruiting trail as momentum started to go the wrong way as LSU lost its third straight game. The recruiting momentum resulted in Devin Harper flipping to Ole Miss and Bryce Underwood flipping to Michigan. The latter raised massive concerns as LSU's top recruit leaving made everyone wonder how many recruits the Tigers may lose these next few weeks.

The first set of positive news for LSU came on Saturday as LSU commitments didn't visit any other schools which was great news amid flip season.

One of the recruits that was expected to pop up on another campus was Cornerback commitment Kade Phillips. It was reported that Kade Phillips would visit Texas which is where he was committed before flipping to LSU. Instead, Phillips didn't visit Texas which is a massive sign for LSU.

The Tigers then got the best news they could as Kade Phillips shut his recruitment down and will sign with LSU in December's Early Signing Period.

The news is massive as LSU will get one of the Nation's top cornerbacks on campus which is big as its a position of need. According to On3, Phillips is the 23rd ranked player in the country, the 4th ranked cornerback, and the 8th ranked player out of Texas.

If LSU is able to keep DJ Pickett locked in with LSU, then Corey Raymond will bring two of the Nation's best cornerbacks to Baton Rouge in his first year back at LSU. Early Signing Day is a week from Wednesday which makes it interesting to see if LSU is able to keep this class fully intact. The good news is LSU now has extra money from Bryce Underwood that they can spend to flip a few recruits as well as to keep this class intact.
