The Recruiting Trail has been the biggest source of news surrounding LSU as of late with the Spring Recruiting Window officially open. The first two weeks have brought massive groups of recruits to Baton Rouge especially this past weekend thank to Battle 7 on 7 hosting a tournament in Baton Rouge.

The Tigers entered the Spring with the 3rd ranked recruiting class in the Country and the top recruiting class in the SEC. While LSU hasn't landed a commitment this Spring, the Tigers have been picking up momentum with several top recruits including Boobie Feaster who LSU is now projected to land leaving the second week of visits.

On Tuesday, LSU got a massive visitor on campus both in size and talent level as Five Star Offensive Lineman Immanuel Iheanacho started an Unofficial visit to LSU.

Immanuel Iheanacho is one of the most sought after recruits in the 2026 recruiting cycle ranked as the 2nd best player in the class, the 2nd ranked offensive tackle, and the Top Player out of Maryland according to On3's Industry Recruiting Rankings. In February, Iheanacho released his Top 11 schools naming LSU one of his 11 finalists alongside some of the other top schools in the Country.

Landing Iheanacho will be a tough task given how crowded his recruitment is as In-State Maryland, Georgia, and Oregon have been seen as the schools at the top of his list.

Given that LSU has put an emphasis on upping their NIL Efforts, the Tigers can now compete in the recruitments of top players like Iheanacho who are Nationally recruited. The Tigers can make a very strong pitch to Iheanacho as well as LSU will have four offensive linemen drafted this year including Will Campbell who could be the first offensive lineman taken in the 2025 NFL Draft.
