The official opening of the transfer portal on Monday has opened the floodgates as thousands of College Football Players enter the transfer portal seeking a new program. The LSU Football team is expected to be one of the biggest players in this transfer cycle after Brian Kelly stated that LSU will bring in its biggest transfer class yet.

The position LSU has been tied to the most early on is Wide Receiver for several reasons. for starters, LSU has to replace starting wide receivers Kyren Lacy and CJ Daniels while they also lost depth receivers Landon Ibieta and Shelton Sampson Jr to the Transfer Portal. If you're a transfer wide receiver, LSU is an attractive landing spot in part due to the openings paired with LSU's success in developing star wide receivers.

Early on, LSU has been linked to Micah Hudson, Barion Brown, Destyn Hill, and several other wide receivers. The latest to join that group is Oklahoma Wide Receiver Nic Anderson who entered the Transfer Portal on Monday.

On the 24/7 Sports' Transfer Portal Palooza Live Show, National Recruiting Analyst Mike Roach stated that Nic Anderson is eyeing LSU, Ole Miss, and Florida.

This season, Nic Anderson missed the entire season as he battled a significant injury but, was nearing a return before deciding to transfer. In 2023, Anderson scored 10 touchdowns an Oklahoma Freshman record while hauling in 38 passes for 798 yards.

Nic Anderson does have some Louisiana ties as his brother Ryder Anderson is a member of the New Orleans Saints practice squad.

In Florida and Ole Miss, LSU will have some tough competition as every wide receiver wants to play with DJ Lagway while Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss use the portal to reload more than anyone else. The Tigers being linked to a ton of wide receivers is great news however as it's likely we'll see LSU land at least a starting caliber receiver.

Anderson is 6 foot 4 so his size will make him a great compliment to Aaron Anderson while his size can help LSU with some of its redzone struggles by giving the Tigers a receiver who can go up and catch 50/50 balls.
