LSU Left Tackle Will Campbell has declared for the NFL Draft will skip the Bowl Game
We're now in the portion of the College Football calendar where we start to see teams take their shape for the 2025 season. We've seen a few LSU players like Rickie Collins, CJ Daniels, Da'Shawn Womack, and Jordan Allen enter the transfer portal while LSU will be aggressive in their transfer pursuit. Wednesday marks the start of the early signing period for College Football recruits while draft eligible players will make their draft decisions.
The first player to announce their intentions of entering the NFL Draft is Junior Left Tackle Will Campbell.
It was an incredible career for Will Campbell during his time in Baton Rouge as LSU's starting left tackle for three seasons. Campbell played in every game except one during his career for the Tigers and helped LSU field one of the most productive offenses in College Football history in 2023. Campbell's impact on the program can be best shown by the fact that he was given the number 7 twice as an offensive lineman joining a long list of leaders at LSU.
The majroity of the Draft Analysts have Will Campbell as their top offensive tackle in the upcoming draft while the lowest the vast majority has him ranked is second in the class. This draft Campbell has a chance to become LSU's first 1st round pick at offensive tackle.
The part that does sting is that we have seen the last of Campbell in the Purple and Gold as he will not play in LSU's Bowl Game. This will give LSU the chance to audition to see who will be his replacement but, they'll have massive shoes to fill.
