This weekend, the LSU Football team hosted their "Boys in the Boot" Junior Day event which brought the best talent in Louisiana together in Baton Rouge. The event is such an asset as the Tigers are able to gather all of the best talent together and push to keep them In-State as the 2026 and 2027 classes are loaded for Louisiana.

The 2026 Recruiting Class is the main focus as LSU is building from a strong base with six commitments and the fifth ranked recruiting class in the Country. The 2027 class however is going to be a massive for LSU as the State has the Top Ranked Quarterback in Elijah Haven and the Top Tight End in Ahmad Hudson.

During the Junior Day Event, LSU offered several In-State recruits in the 2027 class including Javon Vital Jr.

Javon Vital Jr isn't one of the 100 recruits ranked by On3 yet but, when you turn on the tape he's an electric playmaker that can definitely make an impact at the College level.

This season for Hamilton Christian Academy, Vital Jr lined up all over the field completing 72 of 117 attempts for 1,139 yards, and 17 touchdowns with 3 interceptions while rushing for 1,506 yards and 25 touchdowns while returning four kicks for touchdowns. Vital has top end speed as he ran a 4.49 40 yard dash at Tulane Camp last year and will only get faster before reaching the College level.

At the College Level, Javon Vital will most likely play either Running Back or Wide Receiver but, he also plays defensive back at the High School level. The Tigers could employ a similar plan to what they've done with Ju'Juan Johnson who started his career at safety and since landed at running back as he tries to find a best position for success.
