One of the most sought after recruits in the 2027 class is 5-star ATH Honor Fa'alave-Johnson. A two-way prospect hailing from San Diego, Fa'alave-Johnson is ranked as the No. 19 overall player and No. 1 prospect in the state of California by 247Sports.
Stunningly low attendance shows how Tiger fans feel about the Matt McMahon era
His elite skill set has drawn the attention of nearly every team in the country, and LSU fans have reason to be excited about the possibility of Fa'alave-Johnson ending up in Baton Rouge. The 5-star prospect recently announced his final six schools, and LSU is firmly in the mix.
According to Hayes Fawcett, Fa'alave-Johnson is down to LSU, USC, Miami (FL), Oregon, Texas, and Notre Dame. Not only do the Tigers remain in the hunt, but LSU is also on Fa'alave-Johnson's list of upcoming visits.

5-star ATH Honor Fa'alave-Johnson set to visit LSU on April 18
In addition to announcing his final six schools, Fa'alave-Johnson also recently announced his spring visit schedule. He will take a visit to LSU on April 18, and Lane Kiffin and his staff will be looking to make a lasting impression on the big-time recruit. His visit to Baton Rouge is Fa'alava-Johnson's second-to-last visit scheduled for the spring, coming just before Notre Dame on April 24.
It's also worth noting that despite officially dropping Alabama from his list of potential schools, Fa'alave-Johnson still has a visit scheduled to Tuscaloosa on April 11.
Fa'alave-Johnson is coming off of a junior 2025 season in which he put together a stand-out campaign playing on both sides of the ball. Offensively, he ran 150 times for 1,532 yards and 23 touchdowns while also bringing in 35 catches for 564 yards and seven touchdowns. On defense, he recorded 40 tackles, three interceptions, and one forced fumble as a safety at Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego.
The 6'0" 180-pound prospect would be a great get for Kiffin and the Tigers. LSU's 2027 recruiting class features just two players at this time: 4-star EDGE Jaiden Bryant and 4-star QB Peyton Houston. But adding a player like Fa'alave-Johnson to the mix would bode well for the class.
Kiffin has already proven he can attract the top talent in the country at LSU, as he signed a trio of 5-stars during the Early Signing Period and brought in three more 5-star players through the transfer portal. Only time will tell what Fa'alave-Johnson decides, but his upcoming visit to LSU on April 18 is sure to be monitored very closely by Tiger fans everywhere.
