The offseason of incredible honors continues for LSU's Star Left Tackle as Will Campbell was named a First Team All American by the Associated Press.
Campbell has now been named an All-American by Two of the Five Major Selectors a massive step toward being a Unanimous All American. Campbell is the First LSU offensive lineman to be selected to the AP's First Team since Herman Johnson did it in 2008.
Campbell has started and appeared in every game since he's arrived on campus except for one when an illness caused him to miss a game his freshman year logging 2,554 snaps as an LSU Tiger.
The LSU Tigers offensive line helped LSU's offense average 315 yards passing per game and 116 yards rushing per game as the unit allowed 15 sacks over 12 games which was the lowest in the SEC.
Campbell has been incredible during his time at LSU and leaves as one of the most decorated offensive linemen in school history. Campbell was an All-SEC selection every year he's been at LSU making the Second Team as a Freshman and the first team the last two seasons, a Freshman All American, won the Jennings Trophy, and now is a First Team All American according to two of the selectors.
This offseason, LSU faces the tall task of replacing two outstanding offensive tackles in Will Campbell and Emery Jones along with starting guards Miles Frazier and Garrett Dellinger.
The next accomplishment that LSU fans will be watching for is if Will Campbell can become the first tackle in school history to be taken in the First Round of the NFL Draft.
