Last week was another important yet, busy week for the LSU Tigers on the diamond and on the recruiting trail. The LSU Football team closed out its massive year in the transfer portal with its biggest addition of the offseason. The LSU Softball team wrapped up the regular season and heads into the SEC Tournament looking to secure a Top 8 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Leaving a busy week, a few stories standout as LSU looks to continue it's recruiting momentum while postseason play arrives on the diamond.

LSU lands elite safety AJ Haulcy

On Sunday night, the LSU Football team finally landed the playmaking safety the team has lacked for several seasons as Houston transfer AJ Haulcy committed and signed with the LSU football team. The Tigers were able to stay in the hunt for AJ Haulcy despite Miami rolling out the red carpet during his visit to campus and once the Tigers got Haulcy on campus they quickly sealed the deal. The addition gives LSU a star in the secondary which will go a long way toward returning to the program's defensive standard.

LSU's postseason run begins on Wednesday in the SEC Softball Tournament

The SEC Softball tournament begins on Tuesday however, the LSU softball team starts their hunt on Wednesday as the Tigers earned a first round bye. While LSU is the 9th ranked team in the tournament, winning is important for the LSU Softball team as the Tigers are ranked 4th in the RPI rankings which puts the Tigers in contention for a Top-8 seed hosting a Super Regional. LSU plays the first game of the day on Wednesday morning facing off against Mississippi State.

Bowe Bentley's recruitment is seemingly down to LSU and Oklahoma

On Monday Night, LSU and Oklahoma fans were rooting for Georgia to land 5-star quarterback Jared Curtis as it'd only help the two schools. 4-star quarterback Bowe Bentley had named a Final 3 of Georgia, Oklahoma, and LSU but, with the Nation's top quarterback committing to Georgia it seemingly takes the Bulldogs out of the race for Bentley. Oklahoma was long seen as the favorite but, ever since Bentley became LSU's biggest priority, the Tigers have made up significant ground.

LSU target Lamar Brown pushes commitment date back a week

Arguably the biggest priority for LSU in this recruiting class is keeping elite defensive lineman Lamar Brown In-state. The talented lineman had set a July 4th commitment date but, he'll now commit on July 10th. This recruitment has been a battle between LSU and Texas A&M which only makes it more important for LSU to land Brown rather than playing against him.

Boobie Feaster includes LSU in final 4, sets commitment date

Before LSU went on its recruiting tear, it seemed like the next recruit that could jump on board was wide receiver Boobie Feaster. On3 has projected LSU will land Boobie Feaster and while LSU has since added Tristen Keys and Jabari Mack, the Tigers remain in the race for the Texas receiver. This weekend, Boobie Feaster cut his long list of schools down to 4 heading into official visits naming LSU a finalist.
