Lane Kiffin has done great work to revamp the LSU Football roster in his early days at the helm of the program. Most notably, Kiffin retained multiple key playmakers from the 2025 team and signed the No. 1 transfer portal class in the country.
Anthony Bradford continues great Tiger tradition of Super Bowl success
As Kiffin and his staff continue to build LSU's 2027 recruiting class, industry experts expect the Tigers to be in the running for several top names in the class. However, Kiffin and the Tigers received some tough news on Monday when Rivals' Steve Wiltfong and Sam Spiegleman both dropped expert predictions for Texas A&M to land 5-star EDGE and Louisiana native Zyron Forstall.

Texas A&M gaining momentum on LSU in the recruitment of Zyron Forstall
Forstall originally hails from New Orleans, but now plays at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. He ranks as the No. 2 player in the state of Louisiana and the No. 9 player in the country in the Rivals Industry Rankings. In addition, he ranks as the No. 2 EDGE and No. 11 overall player in the country per the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
Over the last few months, Forstall has been considered an LSU lean by industry experts. His Louisiana ties have Kiffin and his staff pushing hard for his services, but it now appears that Mike Elko and Texas A&M are making quite the impression.
Losing Forstall to Texas A&M would be a tough pill to swallow for Tiger fans - especially after what the Aggies did to the Tigers this past season. Texas A&M defeated LSU by a score of 49-25 in Baton Rouge back on October 25, and the embarrassing loss proved to be too much for Brian Kelly to overcome as he was fired the next day. Aggie fans outnumbered Tiger fans in Tiger Stadium during the final minutes of the game, and the last thing LSU fans want to see is another win for A&M.
As it stands, LSU's 2027 recruiting class consists of 4-star EDGE Jaiden Bryant and 4-star QB Peyton Houston. Getting Forstall included in that group would be great to see, but it now seems that LSU is fighting an uphill battle in making that happen.
