Last Season, Marvin Harrison Jr won the Biletnikoff Award over Malik Nabers in the closest race possible beating Nabers out by just one vote. The voting being that close was a shock especially as Nabers had better stats in a tougher conference. Nabers caught 86 passes for 1,564 yards and 14 touchdowns while Harrison caught 67 passes for 1,211 yards and 14 touchdowns.
The excuse everyone made was that Harrison had worse quarterback play as Malik Nabers caught his passes from the Heisman Winner in Jayden Daniels. Thus far in their first seasons in the NFL, Malik Nabers is continuing to prove he was far and away the better player.
On Sunday, Malik Nabers crossed the 1,000 yard mark and the 100 catch mark as he currently sits at 104 catches for 1,140 yards and 6 touchdowns on the year after an incredible 7 catches for 171 yards and 2 touchdown performance.
This season, Marvin Harrison Jr has caught 57 passes for 822 yards and 7 touchdowns. This season, Harrison has played all 16 games while Malik Nabers has played 14 as he missed a pair of games with injuries.
After the excuse was made last season that Nabers was only putting up better numbers due to his quarterback play, there's now no argument. Marvin Harrison Jr has been able to put up his numbers with Kyler Murray at quarterback while Nabers has played with Daniel Jones, Tommy DeVito, Drew Lock, and Tim Boyle.
At the end of the day, Harrison will likely end up being a very good wide receiver in the NFL but, the point still stands that Malik Nabers is the best between the two and should've won the Biletnikoff in 2023. The end of season awards in College Football have become awards given to the more prestige player but, looking back choosing Harrison over Nabers will age poorly.
