Just two days ago, the New York Giants and LSU Tigers had a scary moment when wide receiver Malik Nabers left practice early. Now, he's made sure that the world knows he's doing just fine.
On Tuesday, July 29, Nabers was seen walking off the Giants' practice field and clutching his shoulder. It was then reported that his practice day was over. On Thursday, July 31, he made an unbelievable catch, proving that his shoulder pain wasn't a problem.

During his rookie season with New York, Nabers quickly became the top receiver on the depth chart, amassing 109 receptions for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns. Now, with a quarterback room that has a lot more talent, even more is expected from the young wideout.
Nabers played three seasons for LSU before hitting the NFL Draft board. While with the Tigers, he earned 3,003 receiving yards for 21 touchdowns. To put it simply, everyone knew he was going to be a star at the next level.
When he went down with the apparent shoulder injury, it caused some pretty immediate panic among New York fans, who have quickly learned to rely on Nabers, and LSU fans, who love to see their former Tigers doing well in the NFL.
However, Nabers' return to the practice field and subsequent snag of a pass from veteran quarterback Russell Wilson, both Tiger and Giant fans could take a deep breath.

Alongside Wilson in New York's quarterback room are rookie Jaxson Dart as well as veterans Jameis Winston and Tommy DeVito. Winston joined the Giants after five years with Tampa Bay, four years with New Orleans, and one year with Cleveland. DeVito has been with New York since 2023.
Nabers' fellow starting wide receivers will likely be Wan'Dale Robinson and Darius Slayton, joining tight end Theo Johnson as Wilson's go-to targets downfield.
The preseason begins on Saturday, Aug. 9, for Nabers and the Giants. They are scheduled to face the Buffalo Bills at 1 p.m. ET.
