Future LSU Tiger Lamar Brown headlines a strong 2026 recruiting class for Brian Kelly and his staff. The class is currently ranked No. 11 in the country, and got a big boost this week when Brown was named the No. 1 prospect in America according to the 247Sports Composite. The 5-star prospect is a 6-foot-4, 285-pound lineman who can play on both sides in the trenches, and has been committed to LSU since July.

After LSU's 20-10 victory over Florida on Saturday night, Brown took to social media on Sunday afternoon to try to get another 5-star to choose LSU.

LSU hosted several top recruits this weekend as the Tigers defeated Florida in the SEC opener. Among the big names in attendance was 5-star offensive lineman Immanuel Iheanacho, who is rated by 247Sports Composite as the No. 1 interior offensive lineman in the country for the 2026 recruiting class. Iheanacho has been committed to Oregon since July, but continues to maintain contact with LSU and took in the action vs Florida in Death Valley on Saturday night.

Iheanacho boasts a massive 6-foot-6.5, 345-pound frame that has him drawing comparisons to Mekhi Becton. He did not allow a single sack throughout the course of his entire junior season at Georgetown Prepatory School in Baltimore. He is described by 247Sports Scouting Analyst Gabe Brooks as an "elite offensive line prospect who can likely play tackle in college and perhaps beyond, but could also become a rare guard candidate."

Iheanacho described his visit to LSU as "outstanding," and the social media support from Brown have LSU eyeing a potential flip. However, Iheanacho is still committed to Dan Lanning and the Ducks, and still has several other visits planned later this fall. He will be at Penn State on Sept. 27 to watch the Nittany Lions battle the Ducks, and will then be in Eugene for Oregon's games against Wisconsin on Oct. 25 and USC on Nov. 22. He committed to Oregon in July, with LSU, Penn State, and Auburn being among his final choices.
