Just minutes before the LSU Tigers and Vanderbilt Commodores are set to kick-off, there has been a change to the betting odds for the game. Vanderbilt has been favored by 2.5 points all week long, with moneyline odds hovering around -120. Leading up to kick-off, Vanderbilt is now favored by just 1.5 points on FanDuel Sportsbook.

The total, or over/under has also shifted. It was listed at 47.5 throughout the week, but has increased to 48.5. this indicates that bettors and oddsmakers alike are expecting a bit of a high-scoring game.

With Vegas expecting Vanderbilt to pickup a victory, this is the first time that Vanderbilt has been favored over LSU since all the way back in 1948. It's also the first time that Vanderbilt is favored in an SEC game in 51 games.

The Tigers and Commodores have met 33 times in their respective histories, with LSU owning a 25-7-1 advantage. LSU has been dominant in recent matchups, winning 10 straight meetings since 1991. The Tigers won last season's matchup by a score of 24-17 in Tiger Stadium on Nov. 23. Diego Pavia was held to just 186 passing yards while Garrett Nussmeier threw for 332 yards for the Tigers.

This year's matchup is a pivotal game for both programs. Both the Tigers and Commodores are looking to move to 6-1 and avoid a second conference loss before the end of October. It should be an entertaining game to watch unfold, and the Tigers should take the field with plenty of confidence with the way their elite defense is playing.
