The LSU Football team has been dominant on the recruiting trail this Spring taking their class from the 6th best class in America all the way to the top of On3's Recruiting Class Rankings. The Tigers have loaded up at nearly every position in this recruiting class and the 2025 recruiting class giving the fanbase a ton of exciting young talent to be excited about.
The lone position that has given LSU problems on the recruiting trail in the past year has been quarterback. The Tigers held a commitment from the Nation's top quarterback Bryce Underwood up until the final weeks of the 2025 recruiting cycle before he flipped to Michigan. Ever since that point LSU has made a push to land a quarterback in the 2026 class but, haven't gotten a commitment on board.
LSU seemed to be making great headway for 4-star quarterback Bowe Bentley out of Texas receiving a Crystal Ball prediction from 24/7 Sports to land the elite signalcaller. The latest bit of news in the recruitment of Bowe Bentley however, will have LSU fans feeling less optimistic.
LSU will no longer received the final visit as Bowe Bentley flips visits
The original plan was that the Tigers would get the final official visit with Bowe Bentley hosting him for the loaded recruiting weekend at the end of June. On Monday, Bentley moved his official visit to LSU to May 30th while Oklahoma will now get the final visit on June 6th.

The news is a bit concerning as the Sooners now get to make the final pitch to Bowe Bentley which is always a concern but, especially in the NIL era. In the end, Bentley's order of visits may not matter but, it is always better to get the final word with a recruit. This weekend, Bowe Bentley named LSU and Oklahoma his Final 2 programs.
Bowe Bentley ranks as the 76th best player in the class, the 7th ranked quarterback, and the 11th ranked player out of Texas according to On3's Industry Recruiting Rankings.
In this recruiting class, Bowe Bentley has become a must get recruit for the LSU Football program. Bentley is one of the top uncommitted quarterbacks which gave the Tigers the best path toward landing a Top-10 quarterback recruit. The Tigers have looked to flip Dia Bell and Jonas Williams with no success while the vast majority of the top QBs are locked in with their schools.
