The 2024 Season comes to a close on Monday Night as the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish battle for the National Championship. As the 2024 season wraps up everyone is now eyeing the 2025 season as everyone gets ready for the dark days without football. Andy Staples and Ari Wasserman of On3 released their Way Too Early Top 25 for the 2025 season with the LSU Tigers ranked 15th which is shockingly low.

Given that LSU returns Garrett Nussmeier, Caden Durham, Whit Weeks, and several other key pieces it would be surprising alone. Add in the fact that LSU just added one of the top transfer classes in the Country bringing in several top ended pieces, it's shocking that LSU is 15th.

There are several teams ranked ahead of LSU that have massive glaring flaws which is why there's an issue with LSU at 15. At 14, Alabama enters the offseason with no clear plan at quarterback while the offensive line struggled this season. At 12, Michigan just had a terrible season on offense and its hard to assume Bryce Underwood makes a smooth transition to College Football. The 11th ranked Auburn Tigers add Jackson Arnold who on paper was a five-star but, hasn't shown he can be that level of player at this level.

The Gators are ranked 9th as everyone assumes DJ Lagway will take a massive leap but, its tough to assume he'll do so after passing for just 12 touchdowns and 9 interceptions. Illinois is ranked 7th after an impressive season but, it's difficult to know if they'll continue that consistency in 2025.

The LSU Tigers will face On3's 10th ranked Clemson Tigers, 9th Ranked Florida Gators, 8th Ranked South Carolina Gamecocks, 14th ranked Alabama Crimson Tide, 18th ranked Oklahoma, and 19th ranked Texas A&M.
