Jay Johnson has led the LSU Baseball program to two National Championships over the last three seasons. Heading into his fifth season in Baton Rouge, Johnson's Tigers are the preseason odds-on favorites to bring home another title in Omaha. That's thanks in large part to the transfer portal additions Johnson made to LSU's roster for the 2026 season.

Along with returning 19 players from last year's title team, LSU brings in 20 new faces that consists of 11 transfer portal additions. Eight incoming transfers arrived from other NCAA Division I programs, with one coming from Division II and two heading to Baton Rouge from the junior college ranks.
With the start of the new campaign just a few days away, here is a look at the portal additions every Tiger fan needs to know for the 2026 season.

All of these additions, as well as nine incoming freshmen, give the LSU Baseball program plenty of new faces heading into the new season.
One player to keep an eye on is 1B Zach Yorke, who comes to LSU via Grand Canyon. The power-hitting lefty played at GCU for three seasons and holds the program's Division I career records for home runs (32) and RBIs (157). He figures to be LSU's Opening Day first baseman and provide plenty of pop in the middle of the order.
The new season begins for the Tigers this Friday, February 13 at Skip Bertman Field, Alex Box Stadium with a matchup against Milwaukee. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. CT.
