This season has been an incredible rookie year for former LSU Women's Basketball star and National Champion Angel Reese. This season, Angel Reese has become the WNBA's double-double leader recording double-doubles in fifteen straight games passing Candace Parker's record of ten straight games.

Her play in the month of June saw the WNBA award Reese the Rookie of the Month Award as she averaged a double-double for the month with 14.5 points per games and 13.2 rebounds per game. The start of July continued her impressive stretch as she was awarded the Eastern Conference Player of the Week Award.

This week saw Angel Reese travel to Phoenix, AZ to partake in the WNBA's All-Star Game as a rookie another impressive mark on her resume. Dominating headlines everywhere was the fact that the game would put rivals Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese together on Team WNBA taking on Team USA.

Reese continued her dominance in the All Star game recording yet another double-double scoring 12 points with 11 rebounds in 18 minutes off the bench.

Reese's double-double made history yet again, as she became the first rookie in WNBA History to record the feat while becoming the first player since 1999 to record a double-double in the All-Star Game.

Reese is a serious contender for the Rookie of the Year

Coming into the season, everyone expected that Caitlin Clark would run away with the Rookie of the Year Award. Thus far, Angel Reese has given Clark serious competition if she isn't already leading for the Award. Dawn Staley has already given Reese the nod of approval and the award should likely go to Reese. This year Reese has broken records and makes history in every game something that is certainly worthy of winning the Rookie of the Year award.
