While Malik Nabers has gotten the most attention of the LSU Draft Picks through off-season workouts, there's another LSU rookie receiver grabbing the spotlight. Early on, everything coming out of Jacksonville Jaguars camp had Jaguars fans and the coaching staff as excited about Thomas as LSU fans were.

Jacksonville Jaguars offensive coordinator Press Taylor spoke on Thomas early on saying the following:

"We're trying to get him to talk more, just ask more questions. He's not a big talker for the most part, he just kind of nods and looks at you then goes out on the field and does it right."

The Jaguars will need a massive rookie season out of Brian Thomas Jr as they re-tool their wide receiver room after losing Calvin Ridley this off-season. The Jaguars spent a ton of money on wide receiver Gabe Davis but, NFL analysts and fans are predicting that Brian Thomas Jr will be the team's top receiver.

Early on, everyone is raving about Thomas' ability to run every route and how fluid he looks in his route running. The Jaguars got incredibly lucky landing Brian Thomas Jr as if he wasn't in such a loaded draft class he'd likely be a top-ten pick and possibly the first receiver selected.

Thomas could be the top rookie receiver this season

While players like Malik Nabers, Rome Odunze, and Marvin Harrison Jr were drafted higher than Brian Thomas Jr he may end up having the best rookie season out of them all. Thomas lands in an offense with an established quarterback in Trevor Lawrence while the other quarterbacks are coming off of injuries or with a rookie quarterback. Thomas also won't be asked to be the team's top receiver right away as Gabe Davis and Evan Engram will attract the majority of the attention early on.
