Despite College Football currently sitting in a recruiting dead period where coaches aren't allowed to reach out to recruits, there is still plenty going on in the recruiting world. The LSU Football team landed three massive defensive line commitments in Damien Shanklin, Brandon Brown, and Zion Williams over the July 4th holiday weekend. Today, On3 updated their recruiting rankings with a few LSU Tigers moving.

The top overall recruit in the country and the top quarterback recruit remains LSU Football commitment Bryce Underwood. Underwood continues to be a massive asset for LSU and remaining the top recruit is massive for Brian Kelly's staff when pitching recruits to LSU.

LSU Commit Harlem Berry did slide outside of the top 15 two slots to the 17th ranked player in the country. When On3 expands to the full 32 five stars in the recruiting class, Berry will be a five star recruit and he remains the Nation's best running back.

Carius Curne remains one of the Nation's top recruits and he's another LSU has that is ranked inside the top 32 recruits. On the offensive line LSU Commit Tyler Miller is another player to watch this fall as he's currently ranked 40th and could become a five-star commit with a strong fall.

LSU Commit Jesse Harrold remains a top 70 recruit, while recent LSU commit Zion Williams took a massive jump to the 86th ranked player in the class while Damien Shanklin fell outside the top 100.

Recruiting Updates put an even bigger emphasis on landing DJ Pickett

The Player that may have fared the best in the recruiting updates is defensive back DJ Pickett ahead of his July 17th commitment date. The defensive back rose to the third ranked recruit by On3 ranking as their top defensive player jumping Na'eem Offord and Devin Sanchez. Landing DJ Pickett would give LSU both the Nation's top offensive and defensive recruits which would be massive for LSU on the recruiting trail.
