LSU Football lands a commitment from top 100 edge rusher
This week has seen LSU get on a hot streak on the recruiting trail after a relatively slow start to the summer. The last two days saw LSU reel in a commitment from the Nation’s top guard in the 2025 class Carius Curne and in-state star defensive tackle Rich Anderson in the 2026 recruiting class.
This week we talked about LSU needing to land defensive stars soon in the recruiting class and they did just that reeling in a commitment from Edge Rusher LaJesse Harrold.
According to On3, La Jesse Harrold is a top-70 recruit overall and the ninth ranked edge rusher in the class. This gives LSU Football two top 100 commitments since Thursday in the 2025 signing class as they look to overtake Ohio State for the nations best recruiting class.
Getting Harold on board before the recruiting dead period starts on June 25th is massive as Harold can help the staff with recruiting top defensive talent like fellow Florida native DJ Pickett.
The defensive side of the football is where this class needed the most work especially in the trenches as LSU’s defensive front has had some depth issues.
LSU Football right in position to land the top class
As things currently stand only Ohio State holds a class ranked higher than LSU’s while Alabama is flying up rankings at 3. When you consider where LSU stands with top talent like DJ Pickett, Damien Shanklin, and Brandon Brown there’s a serious chance that LSU finishes with the top recruiting class. That’s without mentioning five star receivers Dakorien Moore, Kaliq Lockett, and Jaime Ffrench all of which LSU is in contention for.
