The NFL players vote on who they believe are the top 100 players in the NFL every year and the results are always fascinating to see. Thus far, LSU has had several players crack the list with Danielle Hunter and Patrick Queen with several others likely to be ranked in the group.

The latest player to crack the top 100 from LSU is Ja'Marr Chase coming in as the 45th-ranked player in the NFL a drop from his ranking at 39 last season. Being voted one the 45th best football player in the world is an incredible honor but, Ja'Marr Chase has to feel slighted by this ranking.

Last season, Ja'Marr Chase set a career-high in receptions with 100 for 1,216 yards and seven touchdowns. This was an incredible season especially when you factor in the fact that Joe Burrow played most of the season injured before Chase finished the year catching passes from Jake Browning. The season gave Ja'Marr Chase another Pro-Bowl nod marking three straight years as a Pro-Bowler to start his career.

The 45th ranking for a receiver of Ja'Marr Chase's caliber is criminal given the fact that he's one of the top players at the position. The Bengals will have some extra motivation this season as Joe Burrow continues to be written off after his injury while Chase doesn't get the proper respect in the top wide receiver debate.

At seasons end, how many of the top ten receivers will be from LSU?

The LSU Tigers already have two of the top wide receivers in the NFL and will continue to do so as Justin Jefferson and Ja'Marr Chase aren't going anywhere. Then you look at Malik Nabers who's looked as dominant as he did at LSU in Training Camp and you could easily see him in the top receiver debate at year's end. The same could be said for Brian Thomas Jr especially as he'll play with Trevor Lawrence which is better than playing with Daniel Jones.
