Heading into this week, the Cincinnati Bengals were desperate for a win entering the game at 0-2. The Bengals got to play the Washington Commanders on Monday Night Football pitting two of LSU's Heisman winners against each other. Daniels was fresh off of his first win in the NFL but, there were some doubters about his game.

One of those doubters was Cincinnati Bengals defensive back Cam Taylor-Britt who had plenty to say about the Commanders and their Rookie Quarterback heading into the matchup.

"They don’t make him do a lot. They keep it really simple for him. Nice college offense. (Kliff) Kingsbury’s the OC."

Well an NFL Defense especially one that views themselves as one of the league's best should be able to shut down a "Nice College Offense" right.

Well Jayden Daniels finished off Monday Night Football with three touchdowns and only two incompletions which is an incredible performance for any quarterback let alone a Rookie Quarterback. Daniels completed 91.3% of his passes the highest mark by any Rookie ever.

Jayden Daniels was electric all night and the Commanders didn't punt once which is incredible as they've scored on every drive except for kneel downs in these past two games. The Commanders even had a little fun with the Bengals as Jayden Daniels threw his first NFL passing touchdown to an offensive lineman.

The Commanders put the game out of reach as Jayden Daniels threw one of the prettiest passes you'll ever see dropping the ball in a bucket to Terry McLaurin.

A massive weekend for LSU's Rookies

The NFL didn't allow Jayden Daniels and Malik Nabers to make a bet over who would win Rookie of the Year and both players are likely relieved. Through three weeks, Jayden Daniels, Malik Nabers, and Marvin Harrison Jr have been far and away the best Rookies in this class and its not even close. Watching Daniels, Nabers, and Brian Thomas Jr tear up the NFL only makes you angrier that the LSU Football team wasted a truly prolific offense in 2023.
