The LSU Baseball team had a busy weekend, dropping its Saturday Regional Game against North Carolina before beating Wofford and North Carolina to force an elimination game on Monday Night against the Tar Heels. The LSU Baseball team got a little extra motivation on Monday Night as West Virginia won the Tuscon Regional meaning that if LSU wins on Monday Night, the super regional will be played in Baton Rouge at Alex Box Stadium.

The LSU Baseball team will take on the North Carolina Tar Heels at 6:00 PM Eastern Time or 5:00 PM in Central Time. For those not going to the game, you can watch LSU Baseball on ESPN 2 or on ESPN +.

If you'd prefer to listen to the game on radio you can hear it on WDGL-FM 98.1 (Baton Rouge), WWL-AM 870 (New Orleans), or on KLWB-FM 103.7 (Lafayette).

There are now planned starting pitchers as of yet as LSU has played four games since the start of the Regional while North Carolina has played three games. The LSU Tigers may look to start Nate Ackenhausen who started Sunday's game against Wofford but, only threw 28 pitches as he was unable to survive the first inning.

The UNC Baseball team will seemingly have more options to pick from with their Ace Jason DeCaro potentially available on short rest after pitching four innings on Friday Night.

Who's likely out of the picture for LSU Baseball

After pitching in the longest outing of his career on Sunday Morning, Griffin Herring is likely unavailable. Gage Jump is likely out of the picture as well after throwing 99 pitches on Friday, however, he has been working on short rest so we may see Jump for an inning if needed. Thatcher Hurd only threw 73 pitches but, given that he'd be pitching on less than a days rest he'll likely be out. Finally, it certainly won't be Luke Holman on the mound as he threw 109 pitches on Saturday in the loss against UNC. Jay Johnson may need some massive performances from some pitchers that haven't been used much making both teams anxious but, excited.
