LSU Football extends a "dream scholarship offer" to an elite safety recruit
The LSU Football team was on the road this weekend, but that didn't stop the Tigers from recruiting. As things currently stand, the LSU Football program holds the third ranked recruiting class with 26 recruits committed. The Tigers hold commitments from two safeties CJ Jimcoily and Jhase Thomas however, they have been looking to add more.
Late in the summer, LSU missed out on Safeties Jonah Williams and Bryce Fitzgerald who they pushed hard for meaning they were likely going to circle back on a few recruits. The Tigers remain engaged with several safety recruits but, they extended an offer this weekend to a new recruit to follow.
LSU offered Ladarian Clardy who is ranked by On3 as the 17th ranked safety in the class and the 199th ranked player overall.
The Florida native up until this point was looking like he was heading to Ole Miss as On3's Recruiting Prediction Machine gave the Rebels a 94.7% chance of landing Clardy. After landing a scholarship offer from LSU, Clardy shared his thoughts on the school and its likely setting off alarms in Oxford.
Prior to landing a scholarship offers from the LSU Football Program Clardy released a top ten schools list that didn't include LSU but, the Tigers will now slide towards the top of Clardy's list. The next step is to get him to Baton Rouge for a game and the Tigers will have a ton of chances as they're at home for the next three games.
Finishing out this recruiting cycle with a bang
At this point in the 2025 recruiting cycle, a majority of the recruiting is playing defense as team's will try to flip players from LSU's loaded recruiting class. The Tigers still have a few uncommitted targets that they'll try to get into the fold over the next few weeks while they'll also host a few flip targets. The Tigers still have an outside chance at landing the Nation's best class and if they're going to do so it starts with landing top players like Clardy.
