On Saturday night, the LSU Football team had two important goals, win the game and to stay healthy. For parts of the game, LSU struggled with both allowing Nicholls State to hang around while also seeing starter after starter leave the game with injuries. During the game, Kyren Lacy, Garrett Nussmeier, Jordan Allen, and Jacobian Guillory all made trips to the injury tent which was a massive concern.

The Tigers saw everyone return to the game except for starting defensive tackle Jacobian Guillory which was a concern. The fifth-year senior emerged from the medical tent in a wheelchair and a cast which was an immediate cause for concern.

The hopes that the injury wasn't too serious are now gone as Jacobian Guillory tore his Achillies and will miss the remainder of the season.

The injury is a massive loss for the Tigers and it comes at a position where LSU couldn't afford to suffer any injuries. The LSU Football team spent the entire spring searching the transfer portal for any defensive tackles they could get only landing Gio Paez and Jay'Viar Suggs.

The Tigers will need for someone to step up

The LSU Football team has been trying to bring its transfer defensive tackles and its underclassmen along to prepare them to play in the tougher portion of the schedule. The team will need help from its younger players much quicker than they'd ever expect losing their anchor in the middle. Gabe Reliford, Ahmad Breaux, and Dominick McKinley have all looked the part of players who could fill the role but, Bo Davis will need to work with the trio throughout the week to prepare them for South Carolina.
