LSU Football names three honorary captains for this weekend's game against UCLA
The LSU Football team will return home this weekend hosting UCLA and the environment will be incredible. One of the best parts of LSU playing at home is when former players are able to make their way back to Baton Rouge for a game. Not only is it a great recruiting device but, it's also an incredible chance for the former players to impart wisdom onto the current players. This weekend, LSU Football will have three incredible alumni on campus as honorary captains for the game.
Chris Williams returns and is still arguably the greatest defensive back in LSU Football history. Despite last playing in 1980, Chris Williams still remains the career leader in interceptions at LSU and in the SEC as whole which is incredible given the era he played in. Williams had an incredible career with Two First-Team All-SEC nods and a Second-Team All-American nod.
Kicker Cole Tracy returns to Baton Rouge after being a massive piece of the 2018 LSU Football team. In 2018, Tracy was one of the best kickers in the Country, being named to the First-Team All-SEC, the Second-Team All-American team, and was a finalist for the Lou Groza Award hitting every one of his 42 extra point attempts while making 29 of 33 field goal attempts.
Davon Godchaux will play in Thursday Night Football which will allow him to return to Baton Rouge for this weekend's game. While at LSU, Godchaux was a three-year starter from 2014-2016 racking up 139 tackles, 12.5 sacks, and a forced fumble.
