We're just a few days away from the LSU Football team taking on the South Carolina Gamecocks and one of the biggest questions everyone has is which players will be out with injury. We all knew that John Emery Jr and Jacobian Guillory would be out as they're out for the season but, after that everything was mostly a guess. One of the best things the SEC has implemented was mandatory injury reports so there is a level of transparency to the fanbase.

While things can change in an instant, here is where everyone was listed for the upcoming game against South Carolina.

Out:

  • John Emery Jr - Running Back
  • Princeton Malbrue - Defensive End
  • Kobe Roberts - Offensive Line
  • Jake Ibieta - Linebacker
  • CJ Jackson - Defensive End
  • Jacobian Guillory - Defensive Tackle

Questionable:

  • Chris Hilton Jr - Wide Receiver
  • Jordan Allen - Safety
  • Kyle Parker - Wide Receiver
  • Da'Shawn Womack - Defensive End
  • West Weeks - Linebacker

Probable:

  • Garrett Dellinger - Probable

The teams aren't required to update the reports on Thursday or Friday but, we may get more answers from Brian Kelly as he's been transparent when an injury report wasn't required. The next official report will come ninty minutes before kickoff which is in all likelihood the next time we'll get a true answer.

The Tigers need a bye week

Given the fact that LSU Football opened the season on a Sunday Night, the Tigers likely should've worked in a bye week much earlier than they did. After having to play the starters much longer than expected against Nicholls State, the Tigers are definitely banged up and feeling the effects of the shortened week. The biggest positive is the fact that Garrett Nussmeier and Kyren Lacy aren't on the injury report after missing some time last week.
