This past weekend, the game against Nicholls State was mostly an opportunity to fix some of LSU's issues while also getting the younger players some playing time. The Tigers did struggle at points especially on defense but, a win is a win and the Tigers are onto South Carolina. What the game did give us a potential player to watch for this offseason in the transfer portal.

On the broadcast, the announcing crew mentioned that they spoke with Blake Baker and the player on Nicholls State he felt could play for LSU was wide receiver Quincy Brown. What Blake Baker likely didn't realize is that the LSU Tigers pushed for Brown as a recruit before the Destrehan native chose TCU over LSU.

After heading to TCU for two season, Brown would transfer to Nicholls State where he's currently on his second season. On Saturday night, Brown did a little bit of everything, completing a pass for 18 yards and a touchdown while also catching five passes for 48 yards.

Following this season, the LSU Football team will lose CJ Daniels as he's out of elligibility and will like lose Kyren Lacy to the NFL Draft if he continues to impress. On top of that, LSU will likely lose a player or two to the transfer portal as it has become the new normal in College Football. In his career, Brown has recorded 53 catches for 571 yards and six touchdowns receiving.

LSU will need to bring in transfer wide receivers

Given the fact that LSU will almost certainly lose at minimum two wide receivers while it's more likely they'll lose around four with the transfer portal. The Tigers have a great class of wide receivers committed right now but, Brian Kelly and his staff will likely look to bring in another experienced veteran while the younger crop of receivers develop. Don't be shocked when you see LSU bringing in a ton of defensive backs and wide receivers this offseason.
