The LSU Football program is one of the rare programs that doesn't always adhere to the common uniform rules. While most teams wear their dark uniforms at home, LSU often wears their white uniforms and the jerseys have become synonymous with Tiger Stadium.

While the Tigers have worn the white uniforms at home as part of tradition, it has also given the Tigers a unique advantage as opponents are forced to wear their darker uniforms in the taxing Louisiana sun.

The tradition was later tinkered with by Nick Saban as his LSU Tigers began wearing their purple uniforms at home for non-SEC opponents except for in the Home Opener.

Against Nicholls State in the Home Opener, Brian Kelly's team followed Nick Saban's Uniform rules and they will continue to do so at home as LSU Football announced its players will be wearing their purple uniforms.

The white uniforms are iconic and one of the best in College Football however, the Purple Uniforms are very under appreciated and should be worn more often. This news may be the most impactful on Ed Orgeron as it means that UCLA likely can't wear their "sissy blue shirts" when they head to Baton Rouge this weekend.
