LSU Football will get its third Heisman Trophy on Saturday
While Jayden Daniels won the Heisman Trophy back in December, the LSU Football program hadn't received its Heisman Trophy yet. The trophy given to the players is always the one that gets the most attention but, some people may not know that the school also gets a Trophy to commerate the experience. The trophies are often times housed in the football facility or a museum depending on which school won the award.
The trophies are a massive hit on recruiting visits as recruits love the opportunity to pose with the trophy and possibly foreshadow bringing a Heisman home to LSU themselves. This weekend, the LSU Football program will finally get it's latest Heisman Trophy as Jayden Daniels' will join Joe Burrow's and Billy Cannon's on Campus.
There couldn't be a better time for LSU to receive its Heisman than on a weekend this big for the program. The LSU Football program will be hosting a massive group of recruits on campus and the experience of seeing the Heisman Trophy arrive in Baton Rouge may beat out most experiences on other campuses.
It does sting that Jayden Daniels most likely won't be able to attend given the fact that he has a game on Monday Night but, it'll be an incredible experience for the fans, the players, the program, and the University.
