Well, we have the rematch we have all been waiting for. We finally get Angel Reese vs. Caitlin Clark round two, but this time the stage isn't quite as big as it was last year. Last year, LSU women's basketball was showered with confetti and cut down the net for a National Championship after beating Iowa.

This year, a win means a ticket to the Final Four representing the Albany 2 Region, the toughest region in the NCAA Women's Tournament. Both of these teams are on fire right now. LSU just took down a tough UCLA team that battled to the end. Iowa put a beat down on a solid Colorado team with the game being over midway through the fourth quarter.

Women's college basketball has been all about Clark this season with snippets about Kim Mulkey, Angel Reese, and the LSU Tigers. As the reigning National Champions, the Tigers have been in Clark's shadow all year long.

We all remember this moment from the National Championship last season, and LSU fans are hoping for a repeat.

This is going to be a highly anticipated rematch that everyone is going to want to watch. Everyone knows Iowa can shoot the long ball, but LSU dominates in the paint with their size. I think this game is going to be high scoring and whichever team can get the last stop is going to win.

Both Reese and Clark are known for thier competitive nature, but both are fans of each off the court. After the National Championship last season, Clark actually defended Reese taunted Clark at the end of the game pointing at her ring finger, and said she shouldn't be criticized for it. Clark said she is a big fan of Reese. When Clark broke the all-time women's scoring record, Reese congratulated Clark and told her to keep making "her-story."

There is clear respect between these two elite players and it is expected this will be an electric rematch that I for one and excited to see.

This Elite Eight matchup is set for Monday, April 1 at 7:00 p.m. ET. This will be the last time we will get to see these two superstars matchup against each other...in college. With both players heading to the WNBA, this could be a rivalry that could last for years to come.
