One LSU Football commit sees massive bump in recruiting ranking
The LSU Football team has been stuck at third in the recruiting rankings for quite some time with no movement. There are a few ways to move in the rankings, landing a few big time commitments would be one way, other teams losing their commitments is another, but, the way that often goes under the radar is when the recruiting sites update their player rankings.
In the industry recruiting rankings, LSU currently has eight three-star recruits committed which hurts them against Alabama and Ohio State who are ahead of the Tigers. Given some of the schools that offered scholarships to LSU's three star recruits there is no doubt some should be ranked higher.
One of the recruits that LSU has in this class just got the bump from a three star recruit to a four star recruit by 24/7 Sports. The Tigers landed Ruston's Aidan Anding late in August as a three-star recruit, now the recruiting experts are taking notice.
This may not be the last we see of Anding rising up the rankings as 24/7 Sports will update their top 247 recruits in October.
For now, Anding is still unranked Nationally but, he's now ranked as the 29th best cornerback in the country. We'll see if any other platforms follow suit as Anding is still a three star in On3, ESPN, and Rivals recruiting rankings.
An incredible job on the recruiting trail by Corey Raymond
When Brian Kelly hired this new defensive coaching staff, he brought back Corey Raymond to revive DBU. The easiest way to overhaul what has been an underwhelming secondary is by landing some big-time recruits. If Corey Raymond can get his three committed cornerbacks to National Signing Day, it'll be an unbelievable class. Raymond has landed commitments from DJ Pickett the Nation's top ranked defender, flipped Kade Phillips from Texas, and landed in-state Aidan Anding who could easily end the year as one of the ten best corners in the class.
