This weekend, the LSU Football program will play host to seven 2025 recruits in the final weekend of official visits before the recruiting dead period starts on June 25th lasting a month. While this weekend is the lowest profile weekend of LSU's four weekends of official visits, this weekend could also be very pivotal as several players are expected to make commitments before the dead period. Here are the three storylines to follow as LSU looks to land it's first commitment of the Summer.

Commitment Watch

Following this weekends set of visits, we'll see a ton of players across the country announce their commitments as they won't be able to talk to coaches again for a month. This weekend, LSU will host one players with plans to commit while there are a few commitments this week that may got the Tigers way.

On Thursday, Top Offensive Guard Carius Curne will announce his commitment with LSU, Missouri, and Arkansas as contenders. Curne is a concensus four-star recruit ranked by On3 as the Nation's top offensive guard and the 25th ranked player overall. The in-state Arkansas Razorbacks will be tough to beat but, LSU got him to reopen his commitment earlier in the year and they may end up landing the commitment.

This weekend, the Tigers will host defensive tackle Xavier Ukponu who plans to announce his commitment on June 29th. Ukponu is a three-star recruit ranked by On3 as the Nation's 108th ranked defensive tackle in the class. Bo Davis brought this connection over from Texas and landing Ukponu would give this class another defensive player to build this class out.

Finally, tight end Micah Jones will make his commitment announcement on Friday with LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Florida, and Arkansas as finalists. It's tough to envision LSU winning out for the Nation's 27th ranked tight end but, they're in the conversation.

Two big visitors for Corey Raymond

As Corey Raymond looks to start adding commitments to the secondary alongside Jaboree Antoine, he'll have two chances this weekend to add talented players. The Tigers lost two expected defensive back visiotrs with Faheem Deland committing to Ohio State and Ja'Kayden Ferguson commiting to Kentucky.

The most pressing recruit on campus this weekend is Alabama native safety Anquon Fegans. The four-star recruit is ranked by On3 as the fifth best safety in the nation and is a concensus top-100 recruit. If the Tigers are going to land Fegans when he announces his commitment on July 29th, they'll need to beat out Auburn, Clemson, and Georgia all of which appear to be ahead of the Tigers.

Then there will be more of a less familiar name on campus as three-star cornerback Jason Stokes comes to Baton Rouge. Stokes landed a scholarship offer earlier this spring and is currently ranked as the Nation's 51st ranked cornerback in the class. At 6 foot 3 inches, Stokes is an incredibly interesting recruit and one that would be a nice piece to add to this recruiting class.

Impressive Wide Receiver comes to Baton Rouge for first visit

Ever since Dakorien Moore de-committed from LSU, the Tigers have been searching for receivers to sign to this class alongside Louisiana native TaRon Francis. This weekend, LSU will get a visit fro Florida native Cortez Mills for the first time. Mills is ranked by On3 as the 107th best player in the class and the 12th ranked wide receiver. Clemson has emerged as the early leader for Mills but, a solid weekend in Baton Rouge will give Mills a lot to think about during the recruiting dead period.
