If there is such thing as landing on the worst team possible, that's what Terrace Marshall Jr has dealt with. The Carolina Panthers drafted him and there may not have been a worse possible landing spot for a young wide receiver. This past season, the Panthers were the worst team in the NFL and things weren't great before then.

During his time in Carolina, Marshall has had Bryce Young, Andy Dalton, PJ Walker, Sam Darnold, Baker Mayfield, and Cam Newton as his quarterbacks over the past three years which shows how dysfunctional the franchise has been and how bad the quarterback play has been.

After dealing with a rotating cast of quarterbacks and coaching staffs, Terrace Marshall Jr gets stability for the first time in his career.

Marshall now goes from one of the worst situations in the NFL to one of the best situations especially with an offensive minded head coach. The 49ers do have a loaded receiving room but, that could easily change as Brandon Aiyuk has been seeking a trade while a few members of that core are often injured.

The Panthers gave up on Terrace Marshall Jr but, after what he showed this preseason, it's impossible to think he can't be a solid wide receiver in the NFL.

It's all about landing spots in the NFL

Often times, experts and fans wonder how players turn out as "busts" when often it's not always the players fault. Ja'Marr Chase was always going to be a great player but, he's helped by the fact that Joe Burrowis his starting quarterback. Justin Jefferson landed with a solid quarterback in Kirk Cousins and that was massive for his career. Put Terrace Marshall into nearly any other situation, and things pan out much better than they did in Carolina.
