When we came into this weekend, there was only one ranked matchup on the slate which always gives the impression that it'll be a boring game. Anyone who's watched College Football will tell you that the craziest weeks are always the weekends that you don't expect any chaos. We got a ton of chaos around the country as we saw Heisman-level performances and massive upsets in one of the craziest days of College Football ever.

After all of the upsets, the massive wins, and the massive performances, here are the five biggest winners and losers of Week Five in the College Football season.

Winner: Vanderbilt

If anyone won the weekend, it's the Vanderbilt Commodores as they shocked the world by knocking off the top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide. The entire game this didn't look like a fluky win as Vanderbilt was the better team from start to finish. Earlier this week, Diego Pavia said only god knows who would win this game and if god knew that Vandy was going to win we hope he bet it.

The most impressive part of Vanderbilt's game today was the fact that they owned the line of scrimmage. Every time they needed to pick up a yard, Alabama couldn't get a push while a strip sack of Jalen Milroe helped the Commodores fend of the Tide's comeback attempt.

After the game, the student's celebration may have topped the performance by the team on the field. The school will pay for the fine as everyone rushed the field and they'll be okay with that but, they'll also need to replace some goalposts. The students paraded the Goalpost down Broadway before tossing it into the Cumberland River.

Loser: Alabama

The Crimson Tide spent all week soaking in their massive win over Georgia last weekend and their rise to #1 in the AP Poll. The issue was, when it came time to play this weekend's game, the Crimson Tide looked more like the team we saw in the second half last weekend rather than the team we saw dominate Georgia in the first half.

The Crimson Tide allowed Vanderbilt to rush for 166 yards nearly doubling the Tide's 84 yards on the ground. The Tide lost the turnover throwing a pick-six and losing a fumble on a strip sack all while failing to even sack Diego Pavia.

The Crimson Tide's biggest issues were on full display in this game which should be alarming considering how big the talent gap should've been. The Tide lack that tier one pass rusher that they had every season under Nick Saban. The mix of transfers and freshmen in the secondary didn't pay off today as Vanderbilt always had a man open. To top it all off, the lack of a great right tackle cost the Tide with a strip sack giving Vandy all of the momentum.
