We're in the final month without LSU Football as the Tigers will return to the field on September 1st in Las Vegas against USC. The LSU Tigers schedule has a few tough landing spot however, they'll have a great shot at winning enough games to make the College Football Playoffs. On LSU's schedule there are three teams that are being heavily overrated.

Texas A&M Aggies

After firing Jimbo Fisher everyone is penciling in the Texas A&M Aggies for massive improvements in 2024. Are we all sure that Texas A&M is going to be much better this season? The Aggies lost massive transfers in Evan Stewart, LT Overton, Jardin Gilbert, Fadil Diggs, Walter Nolen, and Jake Johnson. The Aggies brought in a fine transfer class but, the level of talent doesn't match what left. Mike Elko is a great coach but, in year one he'll have some trouble competing with the top teams in the SEC.

The Aggies went 7-6 in 2023, and their 2024 schedule is much harder than it was last season. They open the season against Notre Dame while they'll also face LSU, Texas, Missouri, Auburn, and they'll face South Carolina and Florida on the road. The Texas A&M Aggies were named the 20th ranked team in the Coaches Poll.

Oklahoma Sooners

The Oklahoma Sooners have been a footnote as Texas joining the SEC has taken all of the headlines. This is in part due to Texas Football's brand power but, also because of the differing talent on these two teams. The Sooners saw some massive departures this off-season as Tyler Guyton was selected in the first round while Dillon Gabriel, Cayden Green, and Aaryn Parks are big transfer losses.

The Sooners will start three transfers on the offensive line which could be an issue with a young quarterback in Jackson Arnold. The Sooners went 10-3 in 2023 but, with an SEC Schedule things could be shaky for them. The Sooners will face LSU, Alabama, Texas, Missouri, Ole Miss, and Tennessee which is a tall task. Oklahoma enters the season ranked 16th in the Coaches Poll.

Ole Miss Rebels

We save the most controversial for last as the Ole Miss Rebels may be one of the most overrated teams heading into 2024. The Rebels were named the sixth best team in College Football in the preseason coaches poll which is far too high.

This offseason, the Rebels lost three players to the NFL Draft while Quinshon Judkins transferred to Ohio State after leading the conference in rushing the past two seasons.

Last season the Rebels went 11-2, but, their 2024 schedule is tough in its own right. The Rebels will face LSU, Georgia, and Oklahoma while some of the SEC road games could provide serious tests. In all likelihood, the Rebels will make the College Football Playoff but, there we will see that this team doesn't stack up with a ton of the top teams in the country.
