The LSU Football team enters today's game as massive favorites against the 1-1 UCLA Bruins. While LSU should win this game, you'd like to see the Tigers win in impressive fashion as they've yet to play a complete game. As LSU looks to work through some things on both sides of the football, don't be surprised if these three bold predictions come true.

Both Freshmen Running Backs score touchdowns

The past two games, two of the most exciting players to watch have been LSU's true freshmen running backs. Against Nicholls State, Ju'Juan Johnson scored a touchdown with less than a week of experience at the position making the move from safety. Against South Carolina, Caden Durham looked like the running back LSU has been missing, breaking tackles left and right scoring a pair of touchdowns.

The LSU Football team will continue to develop its younger backs getting Durham and Johnson a ton of touches. Against Indiana, UCLA allowed the Hoosiers to pick up 4.2 yards per carry and LSU will try to run the ball again today. Expect Caden Durham to make a few more big plays while we'll see Ju'Juan Johnson as a receiving back where he'll score a touchdown.

Harold Perkins Jr records a multi-sack game

Last season and the first three games of this season have been headlined by a struggle to get Harold Perkins Jr unlocked. After spending his freshman season as an edge rusher, the LSU Football program moved Perkins to linebacker so he'd be around the ball more often. Thus far, Perkins hasn't been the difference maker he was as a freshman but, Blake Baker has continued to move him around the defense.

Today Blake Baker will bring a ton of pressure as Ethan Garbers looked inaccurate and made some poor decisions under pressure against Indiana. The player Baker will get the most creative with rushing is Harold Perkins.

The last time Perkins recorded more than one sack in a game was against Mississippi State in 2022, the last time he recorded two or more sacks was his three sack game against Arkansas that same year. Today, Perkins gets on the board with his first sack of the season and he'll get a second sack on the day as it looks like LSU found something with Weeks, Penn, and Perkins on the field.

CJ Daniels has his breakout game at LSU

This offseason, the transfer addition that excited fans the most was transfer wide receiver CJ Daniels after his massive season at Liberty. Through three games, Daniels has only caught 11 passes for 143 yards and no scores. Now that LSU has Chris Hilton Jr back in the fold it will open the passing attack up a ton.

The attention that Chris Hilton will draw from the safeties will allow Daniels to get open more often than he's been able to through three games. At Liberty, Daniels made a ton of his best plays on out routes and corner routes which should open up a bit as cornerbacks will play off to allow them space to make up speed on Hilton. Expect a big game from CJ Daniels as LSU looks to get its prized transfer rolling before the Ole Miss game.
