The NFL season is just under a month away while 30 NFL teams will kick off their pre-season slate this week. While NFL camps are fully underway there are several great free agents still awaiting the chance to play in 2024. One of those free agents is former LSU Receiver Jarvis Landry who missed all of the 2023 season recovering from injury but, is ready to play. All things considered, Landry still has some solid football left in the tank and three teams would be best suited by signing him.

Baltimore Ravens

Last season, the Baltimore Ravens took a shot on a different LSU Football alum when they signed Odell Beckham Jr. This season, the Ravens could look to fill their void at slot receiver by signing Jarvis Landry. The Ravens are currently having a battle at the slot position as Nelson Agholor, Russell Gage, and a few other receivers look to battle for the starting job. The Ravens have too much talent with Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry to pass on bettering the wide receiver room.

Cincinnati Bengals

Aside from being the location that every LSU Tiger ends up, the Cincinnati Bengals make a ton of sense for Jarvis Landry. The team lost Tyler Boyd to the Tennessee Titans this offseason leaving a void at slot receiver in this offense. Landing Jarvis Landry would give the Bengals another talented receiver with experience as the team currently lacks solid depth and experience behind Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.

Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars got a look at what Landry looks like post ankle injury as the team hosted him as a veteran try-out at Rookie Minicamp. All things considered, the Jaguars should still consider signing the veteran receiver ahead of the season. At worst, the Jaguars get a veteran leader that can help mentor Brian Thomas Jr and second-year slot receiver Parker Washington. Personally, I still believe that Jarvis Landry has plenty of good football in him and could help the Jaguars in returning to the postseason.
