Power Ranking the SEC After Week 13: Ole Miss, Alabama, and Texas A&M all fall
This weekend, Missouri picked up a SEC win over the Mississippi State Bulldogs which all in all isn't too impressive. This team continues to beat up on the bad teams while struggling with any team that is capable. The best part of the Tigers game this weekend was the balance of their offense as they picked up 268 yards through the air and 207 yards on the ground which can help them against Arkansas this weekend.
After facing Ole Miss and Texas the past few weeks it was nice for Arkansas to face off against Louisiana Tech. The Razorbacks were able to clinch Bowl Eligibility this weekend thanks to a balanced offensive attack. Taylen Green threw for a pair of touchdowns and a pick while adding a pair of touchdowns with his legs. This team didn't have a ton of expectations coming into the year but, if Green can continue his development over these final two games, it'll raise this teams ceiling in 2025.
This weekend, Vanderbilt was handled in this game yet the final score doesn't tell the full story. The Commodores nonetheless played a tight game with LSU and continue to have a better season than anyone could've expected. The best piece for Vanderbilt's future has been Nate Johnson getting a few reps in these games as he is the future with Diego Pavia running out of eligibility.
If you're an LSU fan now you are really kicking yourself over that loss to Florida as everything fell the Tigers way to make the SEC Championship Game. This week was a whirlwind for the Tigers but, the team finally got off the mat beating Vanderbilt 24-17. Garrett Nussmeier played a clean game, and the run game is starting to take form which is exciting for the 2025 season. The defense played a solid game aside from a few plays as the group is starting to show signs of improvement.
