Winner: The Mountain West

Given that both 22nd ranked UNLV and 11th ranked Boise State won, we'll get a rematch between the Rebels and the Broncos in the Mountain West Championship. The winner of the Mountain West Championship is most likely in the College Football Playoff especially if Boise State wins. These teams took completely different paths to get to this point as Boise State has dominated nearly everyone aside from their loss to Oregon. UNLV had its starting quarterback Matthew Sluka opt out of the season to save his redshirt amid NIL Issues and since that point Hajj Malik-Williams has been incredible.

Loser: Hugh Freeze

When Auburn entered the Season, the expectations weren't National Title or bust and they weren't even expecting to make the College Football Playoff. This season however ends and its a massive disappointment for Auburn fans as this was far from what they hoped to see in the second year under Hugh Freeze.

The Tigers failed to qualify for a Bowl game finishing the year 5-7 and 2-6 in the SEC beating an awful Kentucky team and upsetting Texas A&M. The other three wins came against Alabama A&M, New Mexico, and UL Monroe which are far from impressive wins.

The thing to keep an eye on over the next few days is Auburn's 5th ranked recruiting class and if Hugh Freeze is able to keep it intact. The biggest priority is keeping highly touted quarterback Deuce Knight in the class as Ole Miss turned up the heat getting him on campus again for the Egg Bowl. If Freeze can't keep Knight and the other key players in that class on board, Freeze will enter the season on warmer seat than he'd like.
