The LSU Football team has been red hot on the recruiting trail as the Tigers currently hold the Nation's top ranked recruiting class. As the Summer approaches, LSU will only look to build on the strong foundation they've built in this class as the Tigers do only hold 9 commitments. This Summer, LSU will look to further build out this class as top recruits come to campus for official visits where LSU will look to win big.
As things currently stand, we look at LSU's five biggest commitments while we also look like the five most important targets for LSU to land before National Signing Day.
Five Biggest Commitments:
5. Jabari Mack - Wide Receiver
The LSU Football team has had its most success developing wide receivers out of Louisiana and Destrehan gave LSU one of its best receivers ever in Justin Jefferson. Jabari Mack is a massive recruit for LSU as he's the size of a College Football wide receiver and has the ability to be an impact player once he steps on campus.
4. Brysten Martinez - Offensive Tackle
After sending two offensive tackles to the NFL Draft, LSU is going to have to fill the room with talent the next two seasons to see who emerges. It always helps when there's a top 10 offensive tackle in Louisiana and LSU quickly got Brysten Martinez on board following the season. Dating back to his time at Notre Dame, Brian Kelly always had elite offensive lines and Martinez will help LSU continue the trend.
3. Aiden Hall - Safety
As LSU fans have seen over the past few seasons, the safety play at LSU has been down and the Tigers have had little success finding starting caliber safeties in the transfer portal. Aiden Hall has been committed to LSU since August, and any time he's asked he continues to reaffirm he's going to be an LSU Tiger. Hall has the cover skills to be an impact player in the secondary while he's not afraid to lay a monster hit on an opponent.
2. Richard Anderson - Defensive Tackle
The first player to commit to LSU's 2026 recruiting class was Edna Karr defensive tackle Richard Anderson who was ranked by On3 as the 9th best defensive tackle in the class. Anderson's dominant Junior season has seen him become a Top 25 player in the class and the 2nd ranked defensive tackle in this class. LSU has been looking for the top tier SEC caliber defensive tackles in the transfer portal and landing a player of Richard Anderson's caliber will only make it easier for LSU to field a dominant defense.
1. Tristen Keys - Wide Receiver
Anytime you land a commitment from the top player at a position its a massive deal which is the case for LSU with Tristen Keys committed to the Tigers. On3, 24/7 Sports, and Rivals all rank Keys as the top receiver in the class and a top ten player in the class. Keys has all the traits to be one of the best wide receivers in the Country as a true freshman but, LSU will need to battle until National Signing Day to keep him on board.
Five Biggest Remaining Targets
The LSU Football team currently holds the Nation's top-ranked recruiting class but, the Tigers still have plenty of work to do building out this class. While LSU may be in play for higher ranked recruits like Boobie Feaster one of the Nation's top wide receivers, LSU having four wide receivers on board doesn't make him as big of a need as LSU needs to address other positions.
5. Darius Gray - Offensive Line
One of LSU's biggest out of State targets is Virginia Native, Darius Gray who is the second ranked interior offensive lineman in the class and will move into the top spot once Lamar Brown is ranked as a defensive lineman. LSU has made a push for Darius Gray and the Tigers will hope to seal the deal this Summer when Gray makes his way to Baton Rouge for his official visit.
4. Bowe Bentley - Quarterback
Bryce Underwood decommitting from LSU really hurt the Tigers as LSU hasn't been able to get a quarterback into the fold. As LSU turns to the 2026 class to land a quarterback, the Tigers are one of his three finalists along with Oklahoma and Georgia. The 2027 class of quarterbacks is filled with players LSU has ties to but, getting Bowe Bentley on board would be massive for LSU as they look to build out this class.
3. Havon Finney Jr - Cornerback
As Corey Raymond is back at LSU, every recruiting cycle the LSU Football team will be in the race for the top defensive backs in the class. Havon Finney was the top cornerback in the 2027 recruiting class before reclassifying into the 2026 recruiting class where the Tigers will be in play for Finney. If LSU is going to get back to its DBU standard, the Tigers will need to keep landing elite talents at the position on a yearly basis.
2. Blaine Bradford - Safety - Ohio State Commit
When Baton Rouge native Blaine Bradford committed to Ohio State, it came as a surprise, timing-wise wise but the school wasn't a surprise, as Ohio State was a constant threat to LSU. Given the Tigers' struggles as of late at the safety position, the Tigers desperately need to keep recruiting Blaine Bradford until he's officially an Ohio State Buckeye. Leaving this recruiting class with a safety haul of Aiden Hall, Blaine Bradford, and Dylan Purter, it would ease those concerns going forward.
1. Lamar Brown - Defensive Tackle
After missing out on the top recruit in the state last recruiting cycle, especially a defensive lineman, LSU can't miss out on the top defensive lineman in this class. Whether Lamar Brown chooses to play offensive line or defensive line, he's one of the top players in the entire class. As LSU continues to seek out productive defensive tackles, keeping one of the top players in the state is important for LSU.
