The LSU Tigers lost three SEC games last season. To make matters worse, all three losses came consecutively from Oct. 26 to Nov. 6. The losing streak to Texas A&M, Alabama, and Florida killed any hopes the Tigers had at playing for an SEC Championship and qualifying for the College Football Playoff.

The Tigers were able to end the season on a high note with three straight wins that included a Texas Bowl win over Baylor. However, avenging those three conference losses from a year ago are crucial to LSU's success in a pivotal 2025 season. Brian Kelly's squad has a chance to enact revenge against the Aggies, Crimson Tide, and Gators this season, as all three teams are featured on LSU's 2025 regular season schedule.

Sept. 13: vs. Florida

LSU's loss to Florida last season was the third of their three-game losing streak. It was especially detrimental to LSU considering the fact that the Gators had dropped eight games in a row to ranked opponents and were 1-10 under Billy Napier in rivalry games up to that point.

Despite dominating time of possession 41:43 to 18:17, LSU managed to score just 16 points on 92 offensive snaps. The offensive line fell apart, as Garrett Nussmeier was sacked seven times. The Tigers had allowed a total of just six sacks in their first nine games of the season, but Florida's pass rush gave Nussmeier little time to operate.

This year's meeting on Sept. 13 will be the SEC opener for both teams. Claiming revenge on Napier and company in this contest will be huge for Brian Kelly and the Tigers. Starting the conference schedule with a win at home against a rival opponent can set the tone for the rest of SEC play.

Oct. 25: vs. Texas A&M

LSU entered last year's matchup against Texas A&M at Kyle Field with a 6-1 overall record and a 3-0 mark in SEC games. The Tigers held a 17-7 lead at halftime before getting out-scored 31-6 in the second half. It was disappointing collapse, and the loss triggered LSU's three-game losing streak that quickly unraveled the 2024 campaign.

Garrett Nussmeier threw a season-high three interceptions, and Texas A&M QB Marcel Reed torched the Tigers for three rushing touchdowns. In total, he ran for 62 yards on nine carries, and all three of his touchdowns came in the second half.

The good news is that the series now shifts back to Baton Rouge. LSU hasn't lost to Texas A&M at Tiger Stadium since 1994.

Nov. 8: at Alabama

Like most seasons, this matchup is circled on the calendars of both Tiger and Tide fans. The Crimson Tide have controlled the series in recent years, winning 14 of the last 18 meetings dating back to 2008. Last year's meeting at Tiger Stadium got ugly quick, as Alabama jumped out to a 14-3 lead in the first quarter and never looked back en route to a 42-13 victory. Jalen Milroe went crazy on the ground, rushing for 185 yards and four touchdowns on 12 carries.

It goes without saying that a win over Alabama in Tuscaloosa on Nov. 8 would do wonders for Brian Kelly and LSU in 2025. Kelly is 1-2 against the Tide in his tenure at LSU, with the win coming in unforgettable overtime fashion in 2022.

Despite last year's lopsided result and playing this one on the road, LSU fans are confident the Tigers can get their revenge. Ty Simpson's inexperience for Alabama is no comparison to what LSU is bringing back with Nussmeier at the helm. By the time these two teams meet, Simpson will have considerably more experience under his belt, but so will Nussmeier. It's also worth mentioning that Alabama struggled with consistency last season and put together some duds that resulted in ugly losses to Vanderbilt, Oklahoma, and Tennessee.
