This weekend wrapped up the fourth week of SEC Basketball as we're finally getting a true sense of where each team stacks up in the Conference as the standings are starting to separate everyone. As we've seen nearly every team against the top and bottom tier teams in the SEC we're seeing the emergence of a few teams as true conference contenders while other teams are going to struggle every time they face another team. This week felt like the first massive week of the season with some incredible endings, some massive upsets, and the race for the regular season championship is heating up.

As each team prepares to start a new week jockeying in the standings, we Power Ranked each team in the SEC.

16

South Carolina Gamecocks

It was another brutal week for the South Carolina Gamecocks who remain the only team without a win in SEC Play. The Gamecocks played two tight games losing by a point to Florida and losing in overtime against Mississippi State. This team hasn't quit which is a positive sign but, it's going to be tough to find winnable games on the Gamecocks schedule.

15

Arkansas Razorbacks

12-8 (1-6) | Last Week: 15

It was an up and down week for the Arkansas Razorbacks as they found their first win of SEC Play in a thriller versus Georgia but, lost a winnable game at home against Oklahoma. It's getting late early for the Razorbacks and with star guard Boogie Fland out for the season, John Calipari has to find a way to get this team on a winning streak otherwise the NCAA Tournament won't happen for Arkansas this season.

14

LSU Tigers

12-7 (1-5) | Last Week: 14

This week, LSU only had one game and it came against the Alabama Crimson Tide which is a nightmare for LSU considering Alabama's firepower and the lack of scoring LSU has. The Tigers instead showed a ton of promise in the game as Corey Chest was dominant on the glass and Mark Sears abscene allowed LSU to keep the game close. While LSU may not be a tournament contender, the Tigers have one of the most fun storylines as their projected starting tight end in 2025 Trey'Dez Green is playing for Matt McMahon and turned in one of the highlights of the year in his first game.

13

Georgia Bulldogs

14-6 (2-5) | Last Week: 10

After a week where Georgia lost two games, Georgia looked to right the ship but, instead dropped another two games. The Bulldogs gave Arkansas their first win of SEC Play and followed it up by getting dominated by Florida. This week gives Georgia a chance to snap this four game losing streak against South Carolina but, they'll face Alabama to close the week.

12

Oklahoma Sooners

15-4 (2-4) | Last Week: 13

This week, Porter Moser finally got his team in the win column in the SEC winning twice but, it did come against the two worst teams in the SEC. The Sooners blew out South Carolina and then beat Arkansas on the road in a tight game. The Sooners now pick up a bit of momentum and will have a chance to beat Texas A&M and Vanderbilt this week.

11

Texas Longhorns

14-6 (3-4) | Last Week: 12

The Longhorns started the week off picking up a ranked win over Missouri which was massive but, when Texas trailed Texas A&M by 22 at halftime it looked like they took a stepback again. Instead, Texas erased the 22 point lead and now have a bit of momentum in the SEC. This week, Texas gets to face OIe Miss and LSU which could give Texas two wins and if they're able to win both games they'll go skyrocketing up the rankings.

10

Kentucky Wildcats

14-3 (3-3) | Last Week: 5

After Kentucky lost to Alabama it was hard to fault them last week but, they followed it up this week by losing to Vanderbilt in Nashville for the first time since 2016. When Kentucky is clicking it looks great but, they've now lost three games in the Conference and two have been to Georgia and Vanderbilt which aren't the best of wins. This week Kentucky has another massive test again against Tennessee but, they'll then get to face John Calipari for the first time.

9

Vanderbilt Commodores

16-4 (4-3) | Last Week: 11

The Commodores split this week with a loss to Alabama but, the fans were able to storm the court against Kentucky which was a massive win. The Commodores continue to impress week over week and they're suddenly in the NCAA Tournament conversation. This team gets a full week to prepare for Oklahoma as they look to add another win to their resume.

8

Ole Miss Rebels

15-5 (4-3) | Last Week: 4

The Ole Miss Rebels were off to a red hot 4-0 start in SEC Play but, they're now in the midst of a three game skid. The Rebels three losses have come against Top 25 teams but, the entire SEC is loaded and those are the games you need to win. The Rebels always seem to find themselves in close games but, they may not have the scoring to beat some of the top teams in the SEC.

7

Texas A&M Aggies

15-5 (4-3) | Last Week: 8
Texas A&M Aggies Logo

This week started off great for the Texas A&M Aggies picking up a ranked win over Ole Miss but, they then blew a 22 point lead against Texas to leave the week with a sour taste in their mouths. The defense is good enough to get Texas A&M into the positions to win these games but, the offense needs to be able to put these games away.

6

Mississippi State Bulldogs

16-4 (4-3) | Last Week: 9
Mississippi State Bulldogs Logo

The Bulldogs didn't have the most dominant week losing to Tennessee and needing overtime to beat South Carolina but, they at least left the week with a split. This team has the defense to beat any team yet, they also have three players that can score 20 on any given night. The week ahead will tell everyone a ton about this team as they face Alabama and Missouri.

5

Missouri Tigers

16-4 (5-2) | Last Week: 7
Missouri Tigers Logo

As was the case with most of the teams in the Conference, it was a week with the good and the bad for the Missouri Tigers. The Tigers dropped a game on the road against Texas but, then picked up another ranked win over Ole Miss. This team continues to make every game tough for their opponent and if they can beat Mississippi State it'll only take this team's confidence up another level.

4

Tennessee Volunteers

17-3 (4-3) | Last Week: 6
Tennessee Volunteers Logo

This week was an up and down week for the Volunteers who picked up a ranked win over Mississippi State but, lost to Auburn. The loss to Auburn is totally excusable as the Volunteers lost a tight game on the road in Auburn and the team actually deserves a ton of credit. The Volunteers defense can bring anyone into a rock fight which makes them incredibly dangerous. The Vols have a tough week ahead facing Kentucky and Florida but, it could send this team up another level if they win both.

3

Florida Gators

18-2 (5-2) | Last Week: 3
Florida Gators Logo

This week all the Florida Gators did was handle business eking out a win over South Carolina before dismantling Georgia. The Gators may have reinforcements on the way as well as Micah Handlogten could be nearing a return giving the Gators another great big man. The Gators only have one game this week facing Tennessee in a massive clash on the Weekend.

2

Alabama Crimson Tide

17-3 (6-1) | Last Week: 2
Alabama Crimson Tide Logo

This week, the Alabama Crimson Tide added a pair of wins dominating Vanderbilt and beating LSU in a game that was surprisingly close. This would've been a perfect week for Alabama except now questions swirl as Nate Oats held Mark Sears out of the second half of the LSU game stating he "Went with the guys in the second half that I thought gave us the best chance to win this game". A moment like that can either bring the best out of Sears and this team or it could end up leading to some trouble.

1

Auburn Tigers

18-1 (6-0) | Last Week: 1
Auburn Tigers Logo

The Auburn Tigers played just one game this week and it was a monster clash against the Tennessee Volunteers. Johni Broome returned and helped lead the Tigers to a massive win over Tennessee in an absolute rock fight. When healthy, there may not be a team better than the Auburn Tigers who look to be rolling toward securing a one seed in the NCAA Tournament.
